I am running the Marine Corp Marathon in honor of Jimmy Regan and the Lead the Way Fund. Jimmy Regan was a true American hero in every sense of the word. Upon graduation from Duke University where he also played Lacrosse he turned down opportunities to attend law school and work on Wall Street to defend his country. Jimmy was killed on his fourth combat tour overseas in Iraq on February 9, 2007. I never had the opportunity to meet Jimmy but I will marry his sister Maribeth next summer. I have been fortunate enough to meet many of Jimmy’s friends and family and by all accounts he is the person you would want your son to emulate.
